Community guidelines
Short version: be the well-traveled friend everyone wishes they had. Honest, specific, kind.
Good feedback
- Is specific. “Swap Day 2 and Day 3 so you’re in Ravello before the crowds” beats “too much.”
- Explains why. A reason helps people decide for themselves.
- Fits their trip, not yours. Check who’s going, their pace and budget before you suggest anything. A family with a toddler and a bachelorette weekend need very different tips.
- Says whether you’ve been, and when. Places change. Be upfront if your trip was a while ago.
- Can be blunt about the plan. Never about the person.
Not allowed
- Insults, harassment, or hate of any kind.
- Sexual or explicit content.
- Ads, self-promotion, referral codes or anything that’s really a sales pitch.
- Personal details like phone numbers, emails or home addresses, yours or anyone else’s.
- Pretending to have been somewhere you haven’t.
How we enforce it
Every comment is checked automatically before it’s posted, and anything that breaks these rules is stopped. If something slips through, use Report. Comments with several reports are hidden until we review them. Repeat offenders lose their account.
